The R129 SLs are in a nice spot right now when it comes to values, as they are not-quite classic yet. Good examples are trending a little bit upward in value, but not dramatically like some other modern classics. Smoke silver isn’t the most exciting of hues, but it is agreeable for most. With the AMG wheels, it’s clean look. These grand touring machines will certainly appreciate in value over the coming years, if previous generation SLs are any guide, so get one while they are affordable.

not a big SL fan…BUT..this is a great buy…..get it for 22/23k and you practically stole it…
color is fantastic in a sea of black/red/silver…..
it is rare that a car looks great in gold but this does….my uncle got one in white with less mileage a year ago for 15k though
That price is pretty steep. I just sold my 1999 SL600 in Smoke Silver and Sport Pack with 32k miles for $18,900.
