Just what will $5,000 buy you in the new year? Sure, there are plenty of Porsches out there you can find at this price, but most are basket cases that will run you out of house and home. But how about this 1986 944 owned by the proverbial little old lady? Sure, we’d all love to have a 911, but for those of us of more modest means who still want to get into a P-car, this is one sweet ride.
Month: January 2014
The 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera we featured last month is back up for sale at the same Buy It Now price. It seems the seller is determined to get his price. Could a 911 of this vintage with this kind of mileage pull over $20,000, given where air-cooled 911 values are headed?

3 CommentsElaine from Seinfeld once got into a discussion about grace and how you can’t have a little grace and you can’t acquire grace, you either have it or you don’t. This car has grace and class in spades. The 600 is such a cool car. It is one of those vehicles where you’ll have just as much fun driving it as you will sitting in the back.

Comments closedThere’s a lot of cars that I sit here and think if only they were still manufactured, they would still find buyers. One car that sticks out in my mind is the E38 BMW 7 series. While the 7 series that preceded it, the E32, pushed this model into the executive sedan mainstream, the E38 cemented BMW’s place in that segment. But then came the E65 7 series in 2002 which polarized BMW traditionalists with it’s avant garde styling and complex electronic wizardry. Time has passed and the criticism of that 7 series has softened, but one thing it won’t do is age as gracefully as the E38. Want to play CEO? This 740i for sale in Nebraska has but 25k miles and will let you live out that fantasy.

1 CommentIt’s been a little while since we wrote up our last M Coupe, a beautiful S52 powered Estoril Blue example. And while those early M Coupes are a great deal these days for a fun performance car with plenty of personality, most enthusiasts really want to get their hands on the later cars that came with the S54 motor. There weren’t many other changes to the 2001 and 2002 M Coupes besides this motor swap, but that was enough to make the already good E36/8 all the more entertaining. These later build cars carry a premium due to their increased performance and exclusivity and seem to come up for sale less than the early cars do. Today, there is a brilliant looking Sapphire Black over black leather example on Ebay:
