Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. That is something to keep in mind when specifying new cars. The manufacturer might give you basically unlimited customization in every color, but that doesn’t mean you should use them. Unfortunately for this 718 GT4, that seems to be the case here. Buckle up!

2022 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4
~~~Due to the auto industry’s supply chain disruption, the GT4 is one of many high-end vehicles in which consumers are currently unable to buy straight from the assembly line. This GT4 was one of the last custom new orders (ie- requires available build spot allocations). It just arrived from Germany earlier this month~~~
~~~All vehicle options are listed in the photos, as well as the form showing the final price, with two very important upgrade packages~~~
*** PPF ‘Front Package’ Installed by Dealership upon arrival***
*** comes with the 5 YEAR Wheel Replacement Package***
PPF is CRUCIAL for protecting any high-end vehicles from the environment***
The 5 year wheel replacement is THE BIGGEST LIFESAVER (especially since buying 4 new wheels will cost you $10K!!!) and for those 5 years you can bring in a wheel with the smallest scuff, and they will replace it without any questions – no matter how many times!!!***For a GT series vehicle this also an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE***
COMPARED TO THE OTHER NEW/YOUNG GT4’s CURRENTLY LISTED—NONE COME WITH THESE TWO SIGNIFICANT ADDITIONS***
~~~SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY~~~
^^^Price is FIRM^^^
~~~ASK any Porsche dealership regarding GT4 build spot allocations and MSRP markup of current inventory~~~
***Comes with a free battery warmer for long term storage
(FACTORY SEALED NEW IN BOX)***
The frantic typing in the description for the car probably explains why this car was ordered in such a bizarre configuration. Just to run it down real quick, you have Python Green with gold wheels, black leather, green plastics, yellow seatbelts and trim, and red gauges. That is too many colors. Way too many colors. I can’t imagine the amount of cringing the dealer was doing when submitting this order, then asking for a massive down payment so the buyer didn’t bail and they’d be stuck trying to sell this thing.
It does seem like there is some regret, as now the owner is asking $53,000 over sticker price – which is just comical. Yes, some of these do trade slightly over sticker, but $178,000 for this one and it doesn’t even have sport bucket seats or carbon-ceramic brakes? I think it is going to sit a while.

Almost $200k for a GT4? I’ll pass. In any color configuration…let alone this mess.
