Last month when the International Auto Show rolled into town I had a few minutes to sit in and play with the new W206 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. I’ve very pro-sedan in a world where they are all going away, so this was somewhat exciting to me. What I climbed into was a car that had an outstanding steering wheel and two screens, and the rest was a letdown. I was ready for this as a C-Class is not an S-Class, but the cheap vinyl, plastic, and generally “lightness” of everything was a real down. I really hate to be the “They don’t make them like they used to.” guy, but you are buying a price point with these cars now. I did really love that steering wheel though.

Back in January, I took a look at a modded 200 20V. The crowd was not convinced, but if you’d like a bit of history on what made this one-year-here car so special, check this out:
Today’s car appears to be stock, in much better shape, and has only half the mileage. Even better, it’s less expensive! Let’s check it out:

5 CommentsWhen the F8x BMW M3 and M4 launched, they were loud, proud, and…well, large. Park an M4 next to an original M3, and you can nearly hide the entire older model behind the silhouette of the new one. But when the G80 was launched recently, well…suddenly meet the new boss had me looking at the old boss in a new light. And the S55 is still good for 425 horsepower – and it’ll still rip your face off. 0-60 is gone in 4 seconds and it’ll demolish the older generations in a straight line. Early models have also gotten pretty affordable; look around, and you can find a nice M4 coupe in the 20s now! Today’s car is nowhere near that low, though, given its special color – BMW Individual Laguna Seca Blue:
