We like to seek out low mileage examples of our favorite German machines here at GCFSB, and this week, I’ve come across one in my own backyard here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Normally, an A4 Cabriolet isn’t high on my radar when it comes to the used market, but an old colleague contacted me this week telling me that he was putting his 2006 A4 1.8T Cabriolet up for sale, and it had only covered 36,000 miles. I had to go have a look for myself this afternoon and upon doing so, I’ve come away with a new found respect for this four-place drop top. With warm weather upon us, it’s the perfect time to be entertaining a ride like this.

SERIOUS inquires only. Don’t bother to call unless you are offering a minimum of $11,000. I was active duty military while I owned this car and was deployed for a long part of that time which is why the mileage is so low for an ’06. Only selling due to a divorce settlement and it’s sad to say goodbye to this car so if you call me and offer $10K or less I’m going to hang up on you.
I had a long chat with the owner upon inspecting this car and needless to say, this is exactly the kind of owner you want to buy from. Cosmetically, the car appears near perfect, with a clear bra having been installed early on. New brake pads and rotors were just installed and a new convertible top motor was fitted, merely as a precaution for the future owner going forward. Everything else works as it should, and with a stack of records and some time left on the extended warranty, it should instill confidence in prospective buyers. At $12,000, this is a heck of a lot of well-maintained car for the money. If you’ve always wanted an A4 Cabriolet, there are few better on the market right now than this one.
