4 CommentsThe E32 750iL is a bucket list sort of car. You know you probably shouldn’t buy one. But life is short and soon you will be dead. So why not? Everyone should own a V12 at least once in their lives. This may be one of the most affordable ways to do so, at least in terms of initial outlay. The E32’s design has aged well, and still commands an imposing presence when seen on the road today (an admittedly infrequent occurrence, since many now reside in junk yards). Taut, handsome, brutish and much more modern in appearance than the W126 S-class, the flagship was the 750. Available only in long-wheelbase iL form in the US, it was powered by the 5.0 liter V12 M70 motor also to be found in the 850i, good for about 300 hp. The engine itself is fairly stout. It’s the electrical components and control modules that will kill these cars. When they fail, they are absurdly expensive to replace. For that reason you can buy these cars very cheaply.

2 CommentsI’ve shown a lot of high-priced cars lately (this can be hard to avoid with 911s) so let’s get back to basics with this Marine Blue Metallic 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Coupe with 84,463 miles on it. The Linen Grey interior provides stark contrast with the exterior and the overall combination reminds me a lot of color palettes more familiar on the 3.2 Carrera. Of course, with the ’90 MY we aren’t far from those Carreras at all so the relationship makes sense. Regardless of model it’s a very attractive combination that I’m sure will turn quite a few heads and the condition of this one looks very good.

4 CommentsWe are no strangers to the W201 around here. We feature them frequently, and for good reason. The 190 offered up everything ranging from a frugal diesel to a six-figure DTM super car with a myriad of other engine choices in between. Â Today’s featured car for sale in the Pacific Northwest falls right in the middle of the range in terms of price and practicality. A Japanese import 2.5-16, it’s a little out of the norm compared to a 2.3-16 that North Americans are used to seeing.
