1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 Estate

3

I feel that many vehicles these days are trying to be something they are not. Take one look at the myriad of crossovers or SUVs based on ordinary sedan chassis. Marketing professionals promise the thrill of escape and adventure but in all honesty, you’re not going anywhere. You’ll just blend right into the suburban landscape upon purchase. Want to stand out? How about driving something that doesn’t put on airs, like this 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 Estate for sale in Vermont. This was the final year for the venerable W124, a car which is still a common sight on streets across the globe today. The estate version of the W124 was for those looking for a family car but wanted just a bit more in terms of luxury and versatility. With a rear-facing third row seat, one could carry up to seven passengers and the self-leveling rear suspension would keep things in check while doing so. If you’ve been looking for a tidy example of the five-door variant of this Benz, you won’t want to miss this one.

1995 Audi RS2 Avant

Having visited Finland earlier this year for the first time, I was struck by one characteristic that all Finns seem to share. The racing driver gene. Every person I was in the car with in Finland was aggressive on the throttle but were very quick and calculating in traffic. These people mean business. Not surprising then the drivers’ exam is a bit more stringent than what we are used to stateside. To get a drivers’ license in Finland, you must pass both a summer and winter driving test. This is a great idea which should be universal. Once licensed, what should the Finn who wants to drive fast in all conditions opt for? How about this rare red rocket? The Audi RS2 Avant. This RS2 Avant for sale in Helsinki is the perfect runabout for the speed freak who needs a bit of space for family or recreational activities.

Riviera Blue 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

Those who have been reading these pages for a while will know that pastel blues make up some of my favorites colors on the 911. Porsche has made such colors available since the 911’s earliest days and while the name may change the basic look is the same. For the 993 that means Riviera Blue. While Riviera Blue may be most properly found on something like the RS or GT2 – you know, a model where standing out is about more than just the color – it still works wonderfully on the basic Carrera and brings a good deal of flash to the 993’s graceful curves. It has always been a highly sought-after color on this model so when I come across one I always like to bring it to other’s attention. The one we see here is one of the few I’ve come across with something other than a Black interior. Here we have a Riviera Blue 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, located in Miami, with a dark blue leather interior and 87,232 miles on it.

1995 BMW 740iL

3What is your tolerance for risk? That’s the question you need to ask yourself if you’re thinking about buying a cheap, high mileage German executive sedan. The used car market is littered with them: cars whose values have fallen so far off a cliff that they can now be had for a fraction of their original price. This E38 740iL is one such car, on sale for just $3,800. Let that sink in for a moment: a mere thirty eight hundred dollars (EDIT: it’s listed even cheaper on their website at $3,100). The yuppie bike store a few blocks from my house sells bicycles that are more expensive than that. Sounds tempting, doesn’t it? Sure, the asking price might simply turn out to be the cost of entry into money-pit hell. But on the other hand, if you go in with your eyes open, and especially if you can turn a wrench yourself, this could be a great deal on a cool car that lets you live out your Transporter fantasies on a shoestring budget.

1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 Estate

It’s rather amazing to think it’s been over 20 years since the W124 Mercedes-Benz ceased production. The lines of this car are timeless, in my opinion. The W124 also set the template for the E-class model lineup for years to come. Sedan and estate variants were mainstays, while the E-class coupe and cabriolet transitioned to the CLK moniker for about a decade span only to return back to the E-class coupe and convertible recently. Fast versions have been ever present, as well, beginning with the legendary 500E/E500 in 1992. But we’ll focus on the estate variant today, and this final year E320 Estate for sale in Florida is a looker. With only 85,000 miles on the clock, this Brilliant Silver beauty is bound to make some discerning family happy.
