2007 BMW Z4 M Coupe

I’ll be honest. I never particularly liked the BMW Z4 M Coupe when it first debuted. But as time moves on, I find myself drawn in to this little sports car. Perhaps its the dearth of manual gearboxes, even in the M Cars. Or maybe I’m just overwhelmed by the excessive offerings in the SUV market. Whatever the case may be, this was a worthy follow-on to the much loved, first generation M Coupe, known as the “clownshoe.” This Z4 M Coupe for sale in Winnipeg, Manitoba was brought to our attention from our reader Toshihiko. It is the only Monaco Blue example to have come to North America.

2007 Mercedes-Benz S600 Designo Graphite Edition

On Tuesday of this week, I wrote up a crazy modified Maybach 57S. Beefed up with crazy amounts of horsepower, it was decidedly not understated even though it was dressed all in black. Around the same time, Andrew wrote up a 750Li, talking about how people never give them a second look, but they offer extreme luxury in a very understated package for a modest price. In this vein, I’d like to offer for your consideration this 2007 Mercedes-Benz S600; underneath, it’s the same W221 chassis the Maybach was designed around. That means ridiculous amounts of luxuries and technology at your fingertips. While this model isn’t the nutter AMG S65 model with 600 horsepower (the same drivetain that was in the 57S), it’s still not exactly a wall flower; the M275 was rated at 510 horsepower and 612 lb.ft of torque. If that’s not enough to give you a kick in the seat of the pants, your other ride is probably a F22 Raptor. On top of the Industrial Age power, this particular S600 was ordered with the exclusive “Designo” package in Grapite; it added some beautiful Nappa leather and matte wood accents that really dress up the interior. Outside, while the W221 isn’t the most attractive S-Class produced, I think pulls off the rare feat of looking much better than the W220 it replaced and also better than the newer refreshed W221 and W222 that followed it. And outside, what’s special isn’t that it’s a crazy, slightly overdone AMG adorned model, but a standard S600 – refined, understated, and dare I say attractive:

2007 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe – Paint to Sample

We frequently speak about the value to be found in the 996 range, and the 996TT specifically, but sometimes lost within the low prices of the 996TT and the seemingly ever-escalating prices of any air-cooled Turbo sits the 997. With a few of the 996’s design flaws remedied, which had turned off many long-time 911 fans, the 997 provides extremely capable performance in a more elegant and refined package. Sure, prices aren’t at 996 levels – the asking price here is nearly double that of a decent 996TT – but they aren’t astronomical either and surely represent excellent value given their performance capabilities. We are talking about 480 hp directed to all four wheels, sub-4 second runs to 60 mph, and a top speed that isn’t too far shy of 200 mph. They are fast and for the extra money over a 996TT you are getting a better looking 911 and 65 additional horses to propel you as far past legal speeds as you dare go. The example we see here also happens to be Orange: a paint-to-sample 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe, located in New York, with 43,500 miles on it.

2007 Porsche 911 GT3RS

Like most enthusiasts, I tend to prefer the smaller, air-cooled Porsche 911s of yesteryear. However, one recent 911 keeps vying for my attention, the 997 series 911 GT3RS. Specifically, when it is painted in Porsche Green, such as this early build car for sale in Rhode Island. With a series of lighter weight components, the GT3RS weighs in 44 pounds less than a standard 997 GT3. The RS would serve as a base for homologation that packed 300 bhp per ton. Just under 2,000 examples were produced, with 413 finding their way stateside.

2007 BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe

As BMW started exploring new vehicle segments such as the SAV, or Sport Activity Vehicle, almost 20 years ago, a new model appeared that didn’t get much attention when it first arrived. The Z3 and M Coupe. This oddly proportioned coupe had a breadvan profile that didn’t sit well with all enthusiasts. But years down the road, these cars have become quite collectable. The follow up to the Z3 Coupe was the Z4 coupe, also available in Motorsports form. These Z4 Coupes haven’t taken off in value as much as some of the late model Z3 based M Coupes, but they have the chops to be a future collectable. This Z4 3.0si Coupe for sale in Georgia isn’t the M model, but with a 6-speed manual, you won’t be missing out on too much performance.
