2002 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

In my opinion, in terms of dollar for dollar value, there is no better Porsche 911 than the 996 Carrera 4S. It has all the looks of the 996 Turbo, but for about half the price. In terms of reliability, as long as you take care of the boogie man IMS bearing, these cars are solid. Inside, you can go as tame or as crazy as you want, as the “special requests” just started to gain traction with the rise of the interior in the early 2000s. Today’s car, a 2002 up for sale in Miami, is just about perfect in terms of the whole package. Arctic Silver over black, full carbon fiber trim, and some H&R lowering springs to get rid of the pesky wheel gap. Sign me up.

2006 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

There seems to be a very vocal group of people in the car world that really love green cars. I adore them as well, so much so if given the choice of choosing a color, I’d think I’d go with a dark green. For whatever reason, there just aren’t a ton of green cars out there running around. Probably because the millions of dollars car companies spend on market research says people don’t want green cars, and I do see their point. Its not that companies don’t produce green cars, but rather they don’t produce them on the same level as the silver, gray, black, and whites. So I have to ask, do people love green because its an aesthetically pleasing color on cars? Or rather because it is rare to see and people want things that aren’t so common? Like the little girl says on TV selling taco shells, “¿Por qué no los dos?

This 2006 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S for sale in California is a green lovers dream. Forest Green Metallic on the outside, Palm Green leather on the inside. Extra goodies include 19″ lobster claw wheels, heated sport seats, park assist, Bose audio, and more. Where do I sign?

2004 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

About a month ago I took a look at one of the strangest colors I’ve seen on a Porsche 911. It wasn’t the actual color that was strange, but rather the name of literally “Ferrari-Yellow.” Like I mentioned, Porsche would rather shut the company down rather than put a competitors name on one of their cars now, but it looks like the lure of the Ferrari-Yellow goes further than we thought. Today, I wanted to look at the next generation of that car, the 996 C4S. This 2004 for sale in New York is finished in the popular “Speed yellow” and just like the 993, has the turbo-twist wheels, matching calipers, and some extra bits of yellow on the interior. However, they really went all out with the yellow on this car. Just wait until you see.

2008 Porsche 911 Targa 4S

As much as I’m dismayed by the proliferation of automatic and PDK gearboxes in the Porsche range, I have to admit that it may not be a bad thing. A car like this 997 Targa 4S is not exactly the 911 of yore. That is, a lightweight sports car with two missions in mind: going fast and keeping you on your toes while going about that task. As the 911 has aged, it has gotten larger and heavier, but it is still quite a capable machine. This 2008 911 Targa 4S for sale from our friends at Automobili Limited is practically new, with just over 7,000 miles on the clock. It has the 5-speed Tiptronic gearbox, however, that tends to fit with the Targa’s persona versus other 911s, as one may want to cruise along a bit more slowly and enjoy the fresh air.

2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

I always get a kick out of hearing people knock the Porsche 996 911, especially for its looks. The runny egg headlights, and the large taillights make it an easy target, but I’m always quick to remind folks that even the worst looking 911 is still much more enjoyable to look at than the majority of other vehicles. This is especially true in the case of the Carrera 4S which borrows its extra wide, and aggressive look from the 911 Turbo. While reclusive purists will firmly declare that an AWD 911 is the work of the devil, aka. accounts who saw their value, I’m firmly in the camp of open minded individuals who see them as the perfect 4 season vehicle. When everyone else has had to put their toys away for winter, the C4S owner gets to keep playing with his. Charging up snow covered roads on a set of Bizzaks sounds like my idea of a good time, and on top of that, a 911 with a Thule rack is a beautiful thing. If you’re the type to not be too precious about your cars, and use them as they were intended to be used, there’s no need for a winter beater if you drive a C4S, just an extra set of wheels, and tires.
