1974 BMW 2002 Touring

If you’ve missed the most recent bandwagon, it’s been firmly hitched to the back of the E30 Touring. Recently these cars passed the magical “25 Year” importation ban and have begun flooding the market. The reason is simple; they haven’t previously been available here, the E30 market is red hot, and they’re relatively dirt cheap in Europe. But if you really want to show up those bandwagon-jumping E30 hispters at the local show, why not look towards the original Touring – the 2000/2002. Available only for a short run between 1971 and 1974, it ran the full production line in engines minus the turbo; the most valuable examples are clean tii versions or the ultra-rare Alpina variants, but a nice clean example of any shows just what a neat design it was:

1988 BMW 320i Touring – REVISIT

Despite strong bidding, this 1988 BMW 320i Touring failed to meet the reserve the seller was trying for; now with new 15″ Euroweave Nogaro-colored wheels that look great and a “Buy It Now” price of $13,900, is this the E30 Touring for you?

Paul was right that the Tourings are coming. Perhaps some owners have been holding on to them as forbidden gems and are realizing that, as the importation restrictions are lifted, they will become more and more common and are looking to cash out now. Today’s is a clean little wagon with some eccentricities among the nice choices; one sport seat/one comfort belong to the prior, the M20B25 and 5-speed conversion well in the latter. Bidding is hot, so clearly people are still more interested in finding one here than bringing it in themselves.

1989 BMW 325i Touring

Weâ€™re doing our best to keep up with a popular modern classic now migrating to US shores given the 25 year importation threshold has been met: the BMW E30 Touring. By the time they make it to these shores, prices are not exactly bargain basement, nor have they hit the stratosphere like their M3 counterpart. Need a reason to go on holiday to Europe? Why not take a side jaunt to Germany to pick up one? This 1989 325i Touring for sale north of Munich was owned by an elderly gentleman and has the desirable combination of the M20 engine and 5-speed manual gearbox.

One of the most popular automotive forbidden fruits for US car enthusiasts is the BMW E30 3 series Touring. Now over 25 years old and eligible for importation, it seems that a steady stream of these small estate cars are arriving on these shores. For E30 fans who may have given up their beloved rides years ago with the pressures of family and a changing lifestyle, this car solves many of those space needs. There was even a four-wheel drive variant available for those who may need added traction, but we have yet to come across one in the US. Imported from England last year, this right-hand drive 1988 325i Touring for sale in Florida is an original car with some tasteful modifications.
