Two years ago, we saw a 1998 CL600 with 57,000 miles sell for just over $12,000. These large coupes haven’t seen a huge gain in appreciation in that time, but the market hasn’t dipped, either. While the cost of entry here seems rather low considering how much car you are getting, keep in mind the funds you’ll have to set aside for running costs with this twelve cylinder beast. These cars do have their charm, but if it were a large Mercedes coupe I was after, I’d be going back to the C126 overtime, similar to the 1990 560SEC we saw last week.

It has nothing to do with this car, but I REALLY miss the 3 “branching interests” cars that used to be at the bottom of each article. It was a great way to see what else was out there.
