1996 Porsche 911 Turbo

The 911 is the stuff of automotive dreams for most people. Some deride the car for the fact that it hasn’t evolved much over its fifty year history, but I’ve always had a thing for these cars. There were so many good versions though, that if the opportunity presented itself, which 911 would I choose? An early 911S? The more reliable SC? Or maybe the exclusivity and lightweight goodness that comes with the 3.2 Clubsport package? Any of those 911s would be welcome in my garage, but the Turbo 993 variant we see here is one of the all time greats. Mixing classic air cooled performance with more modern amenities and all-wheel drive, this is where old and new converged for one last great hurrah before the air-cooled Porsche finally rode into the sunset at the close of the 1998 model year.

This 911 Turbo for sale in California presents pretty much as new, with only a little over 12,000 miles on the clock.

1996 Porsche 993 Twin-Turbo, All Wheel Drive, 6-Spd, Only 12.8k miles! Truly like new. One of the cleanest 993 Turbos available for sale in the country! Will not dissappoint. Many people believe this model Porsche 911 993 TT to be one of the all time great sports cars – a true icon. 0-60 in 3.7 sec! At the time it was produced, this was the fastest production car in the world. Today, there are only a handful of cars that are faster.

Price: $89,000

The MSRP of this 911 Turbo originally hovered at the $100,000 mark. The asking price for this car doesn’t reflect much of a discount over the last 17 years, then. Even though this Turbo has the lowest mileage I’ve seen in a while, I’d almost be more inclined to seek out an example in equally good shape with around 40,000 to 50,000 miles on the clock and save a good chunk of change in the process. Regardless, this car has me drooling for the good old days when Porsche was solely a sports car manufacturer.
