The introduction of the W208 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class was a little bit of a shock if you were coming from a W124 E-Class coupe. Suddenly everything that was square was now round, and the interior felt….well, a little less quality. I’m sure Mercedes had some kind of spin about how it was modernizing it for the new millennium, but there was no mistaking the difference. You also were swapping a smooth inline-six for a squared-off V6, which I’m sure buyers didn’t really notice the difference of – as long as it started every morning. I think time gave us the answer as really nice E320 Coupes sell for strong money, while the best CLK320 examples, like the one we have today, won’t even sell for half that value.

Mercedes-Benz Other. Very clean in and out 1 owner 15,000 miles car it was garaged kept. Runs and drives great. Interior show next to no wear. Great car for a collector or a fan of mercedes benz that wants a nice driver.
In addition to this car finished in the neat color shade of Mineral Green, it has just under 16,000 miles and is reportedly still on its first owner. That I did not expect given the overwhelming majority of these cars were driven into the ground. It surely looks the part as even with the horrible photos, the car looks perfect. It is as basic as they get as this one wasn’t even optioned with heated seats, but this is how it was in the late-90s when it came to options.
So how about the price? The seller has this one starting at $9,000, and if you can snag it for that I think it’s a good buy. There is money to be made on this one with a much better presentation and a dig into its history, or if you want to keep it as a really nice 3rd or 4th car, have at it. Just don’t expect it to be that love affair with classic Mercedes-Benz quality, because you are not going to find it here.

Nice to see one of these coupes that hasn’t just been driven into the ground and “modified” with a bunch of fake “AMG” parts from eBay. Love that Mineral Green. What a pretty color! You are right about those pictures–they are horrible. What is he even trying to shoot in that picture that is a close up of some of the carpet? LOL.
