The BMW M Coupe has become the darling of the hardcore Bimmer enthusiast, providing a lot of power in a small package that, in the words of Car and Driver “makes you do bad things.” In 2001, the original E36/8 M Coupe was given a heart transplant in the form of the S54 engine, a 3.2 liter inline-6 pumping out 315 horsepower. While it only offered 15 more pound-feet of torque than the outgoing S52 motor, the upper limits of the rev range was where this new engine came alive, providing addictive amounts of power at higher RPMs. This particular M Coupe for sale in Maryland is very rare, as it is a sunroof delete model, adding even a bit more sporting flair to an already mental package.

I am pleased to offer this beautiful 2002 S54 BMW M Coupe in Titanium Silver over Black leather. 1 of 5 produced. Rare Sunroof-Delete Model and very desirable S54 engine. This coupe is nearly flawless, has spent its entire life in the hands of a collector, and has always been rested in an indoor garage. The odometer shows just over 50k miles, with very little wear on the interior or exterior. All VIN stickers are present and the body has never seen any paint or body work – 100% original. The coupe smells, drive, and looks brand new. The interior is a 9.5 out of 10, with only the very pickiest eyes noticing any wear on the driver seat or shift knob. The exterior is a 9.5 out of 10, with only one or two very small scratches or rock chips from driving (only noticeable from 12 inches away). The right rear wheel has a few nicks. The car has been maintained properly since new and comes with fresh fluids that include:
1. Oil change (Fully Synthetic Lubro Moly)
2. Brand new Good Year tires
3. Brand new OEM brake pads & rotors.
4. Coolant Flush
5. Brake Fluid Flush
6. Rear Differential and Manual Transmission Flush.Again, the car is literally flawless and all options and accessories work as they should. There are no stories with this Coupe and is ready for a new owner. Detailed pictures can be found here:

Unless you go for a high mileage one, any M Coupe with under 75,000 miles these days is going to be fairly pricey, especially one with the S54 motor. Call it the E30 effect if you’d like. While over $32,000 may sound pricey, we’re probably not far off the mark, especially if any collectors out there have been searching high and low for an S54 without the sunroof. One of our feature rides, a 2001 M Coupe sold for $29,000 back in February. That car had 67,000 miles on it at the time. Given that comparison, I’d suspect the $30,000 mark is about the norm these days for a clean S54 engined M Coupe with low miles.
