2007 Audi Q7 Limousine

Back in 2014, I looked at a bit of an oddity – a 185″ stretched Cayenne:

You Thought It Couldn’t Get Worse: 2008 Porsche Cayenne 185″ Limo

Well, today we’re back with a very similar, albeit slightly less long and powerful version. This is a 180″ stretch of a Q7, of which they apparently made ten. Why? Fabulous question. But hey, it can be yours for $35,000:

What a strange thing. If stretch limos are your thing, I’m not sure the Q7 has the gravitas to really impress. Granted, it’s probably better than some of the K-car stretch limos of the 80s, but then what wasn’t. Inside it’s typically gaudy with ugly upholstery paired with ugly lights and ugly barware. I do wonder if they’ve managed to keep the quattro drivetrain in place, or if they’ve somehow converted this to front-drive only. The paint match is pretty poor, and there’s no disclosed maintenance. It’s also really strange that it appears to just have the standard front and rear two rows of seating, as if the limo conversion is an entirely different entity that just happens to be attached to a split Q7. But hey, it’s got a 5k stereo! So you’re really only paying $30k for the privilege to own the rest, which is good value for your money in terms of sheer volume.

This ad is hilarious. I know I would never consider reserving a limousine for a special occasion if it didn’t have “…color changing fiber optic Ceiling and Bars with integrated points of light, full fiber optic color changing interior wet bars…”; indeed, I demand these amenities in my limousine experience.

Also, I wonder… does this limousine make money?

Beyond bad taste. A symbol of a country and a culture on the downslide.
