2007 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Estate

$_4 (1)

I give a lot of credit to Mercedes-Benz for sticking it out with one conspicuous model in their lineup: the E-class AMG estate. “Sport” is an understatement with this vehicle, given the amount of power lurking under the hood. For three generations, Mercedes-Benz has offered an AMG-infused estate, with US customers gaining access over the last two generations. While AMG has lent its name on the tailgate of many of their SUVs, this fast five-door has the mettle to back up the aggressive stance. With a lower center of gravity and a lusty, naturally aspirated V8 under the hood, entertainment will ensue for the serious driver. This 2007 E63 AMG estate for sale in California has just over 62,000 miles and should give the kids a bit of a laugh if you decide to hoon a bit.

This is one of ONLY 150 E63 Wagons bought into the US. This fine 2007 Example is in outstanding condition with low miles. Right color combination and great level of options. The W112 car is recognised as one of the best quality produced Mercedes of modern times. Better than the more current post financial crisis cars. This car is a pleasure to drive and has all the functionality of a wagon. Yet the high performance of AMG’s famous E63 engine and equipment. This example also has optional extra row of seats for kids in the cargo area making it a 7 seater. This is a car which will please both the driver in your family and the practical family member who argues the merit of a station wagon.

Buy something special – this car wont last long as enthusiasts know its rarity.

I’ve been tracking prices for both sedan and estate variants of the W211 E-class AMG and it’s remarkable how much better the estate holds up in value versus its four-door counterpart. Like the B7 Audi S4 Avant, this is a rare cult car that has a lot of potential in terms of collectability. The price seems strong on this one given the mileage, but if we look back through our archives, we’ve seen a few of these cars exchange hands. Two E63 AMG estates sold for identical amounts: $38,900. One of those had 36,000 miles, the other just over 63,000 miles. This one is closer to the higher end of that mileage range, but it seems that the mid to high $30k range is the sweet spot for these family rockets.

this or a CTS-V wagon??….and yes I like the styling of the CTS…LOL
you can’t go wrong with either one….and if you can find one the CTS-V comes in a manual.
wagons don’t sell here..people would rather have an SAV/SUV…..too bad

I’ve read many times that AMG wagon purchasers have the highest net worth of any AMG customers. Disappointing in a way, because that means they buy it because it’s the most expensive and they can, instead of buying it to surprise those driving more overtly high-powered cars.

I actually had a 2007 E63, and I can tell you it turned me into a total hoodlum. Even with traction control and the 030 package’s limited slip diff, it was difficult to pull out of the neighborhood without having the tail come out. Well, at least for me it was 🙂

I sold it, but still miss that engine’s muscle car sound. On the other hand, I had a 68 BMW 1600 that was just as much fun. You could drive it at 90%, look down at the speedo, and see that you were going 45 mph. Guess there’s something to that old adage that it’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slowly..

Puts the AMG in “mega”. I only wish Audi had the attachments to offer its competition here. The RS6 Plus is one might match for this car.
