Needless to say this is a Paint to Sample option, and a pricey one at that, and even more crazier when you put it on a convertible. Still, this is much better than another black or grey car, even at it’s current crazy pricing considering this is still just a Boxster S. Love it or leave it?

This one is offered by Porsche North Scottsdale who is a Exclusive Manufaktur partner, which means that probably move enough inventory that they get some special privileges like ordering a Boxster S in Viola Purple Metallic. This is very rare as almost all the Paint to Sample colors are chosen by people actually ordering cars and not for dealer stock. You can see how this can be risky, but anyone who has visited Scottsdale, Arizona probably wouldn’t be surprised by a purple Porsche convertible running around.

Even better, they are offering this one still with delivery miles right at sticker price. Great, right? Well, sticker price is nearly $111,000. Ouch. Keep in mind the base price of a new Boxster S is about $75,000, and another $11,500 was the cost for the custom color. Throw down a few more clicks on the configurator and suddenly you are at $111,000. If you have money to burn and love purple, this is a good deal. However, I’d be looking to go GTS 4.0 and “suffer” with a lesser color.
