2022 Mercedes-Benz C300 4Matic

Well, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is here. The 2022 model year launched the W206 chassis, which is an all-new design inside and out. It carries over the rounded shape on the exterior and inside is a light copy of the current S-Class with it’s heavy use of screens and a waterfall-style layout directly into the center console. All the current cars are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 with a 48-volt hybrid system, which I’m sure will be easy to diagnose and repair in the year 2029. Three trim levels are available with the “Premium”, “Executive”, and “Pinnacle”, the latter of which tops out at $48,550. However, this being a new car in 2022 and not for sale at a factory dealer, you can guess the price…

1998 Mercedes-Benz CL600 7.0 AMG

If you are feeling déjà vu, you are on to something. Last month I checked out a 1998 Mercedes-Benz S600 7.0 AMG and now a month later, we have the brother 1998 CL600 7.0 AMG. It is probably safe to assume these both came out of the same collection, and believe it or not, this one checks in with over 100,000 kilometers on the odometer. Long live the M120!

1991 Mercedes-Benz 300SE

This might be as good as it gets. A 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300SE with a mere 8,500 miles. The color combo? Pearl Blue Metallic over blue leather. This is the type of car that was regularly used and excelled greatly at it, but this one was somehow put away and spared. Now over 30 years later, do you dare? If so, it isn’t going to come cheap. Not at all.

1JZ-Powered 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL

When someone says “engine swap” on an old car, my mind automatically goes to a big V8 swap in an American muscle car. It certainly doesn’t go to today’s car.

What we have is a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 450SL with a Toyota 1JZ-GTE turbocharged inline-six. Talk about an odd couple. The R107 is so far from the tuner-culture 1JZ that I’m really struggling to see who this appeals to. Toyota fans who want something classy? Or R107 fans who want easy power? Either way, I am extremely impressed with this build. Something I don’t say often.

1998 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG Wagon

When it comes to the old rule of Mercedes-Benz wagons are worth significantly more than their sedan counterparts, the AMG models are no exception. It is basically having your cake and eating it too, only this cake is really rare and extremely hard to find given they didn’t make many at all. Today’s car is a currently forbidden fruit as it isn’t 25-years-old yet, but the clock is ticking fast and it will be legal in no time. Say hello 1998 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG Wagon.
