2013 Audi allroad

As an Audi enthusaist and a wagon lover, it’s no surprise that I was excited when Audi of America announced the return of the allroad. Like many others I was hesitant to see that it was being released on the A4 platform rather than the larger A6 platform of the previous generation, but once I saw it, all reservations went out the window. Seeing the allroad was love at first sight. The stance, the flares, the grille, and the lines make this one of the most beautiful estate cars on the market.

Audi did it right this time. Anyone familiar with the original allroad knows that they were riddled with problems between the 2.7T and the air suspension. The new allroads save all of the fancy technology for where it counts….the cockpit. The allroad uses the same 2.0l turbo four as the rest of the A4 family coupled to the silky smooth 8-speed tiptronic gearbox, and of course Quattro AWD.

Where the allroad differs from your standard A4 Avant is in the styling with stainless steel front and rear skid plates and offroad inspired fender flares. To complete the offroad capable look, the allroad has a full 7 inches of ground clearance. This car can certainly walk the walk if the owner was so inclined.

This beautiful Phantom Black over black leather allroad for sale in Atlanta is a smoking deal on a lightly used SUV alternative.

2013 Audi Allroad Premium Plus 2.0T Quattro Tiptronic – AUDI CERTIFIED! Phantom Black Pearl with black leather interior, automatic transmission (8 Speed Tiptronic), only 6K miles, Premium Plus model, MMI Navigation Plus Package, Audi Parking System Plus with rearview camera, Audi Advanced Key, power heated front seats with driver memory, Audi Music Interface (iPod), Bluetooth – Phone/Streaming Audio, Homelink, power tailgate, 3-Zone Climate Control, Audi Connect, CD/DVD Player, Audi Xenon Plus lighting with LED daytime running lights, Panorama sunroof with power sunshade, Sirius Satellite Radio. Absolutely loaded with equipment! One owner vehicle, clean CARFAX. Audi Certified – 6 Year/100K mile warranty from the original in-service date!

For the buyer in the market for an allroad specifically, or just a luxury SUV alternative this is a great deal.  Loaded with options, the original MSRP on an allroad like this is in the neighborhood of $48,000.  This car is Audi certified, and with only 6,443 miles, you get another 93K miles of coverage, or 6 years from in service date, which is less than 6 months ago offering a better warranty than the original factory warranty.  It’s said that new cars depreciate 10% just by driving it off the lot, in most cases that’s bad news, but with a CPO car like this, depreciation is your friend.  With a bit more negotiation, you could likely pick this beauty up for $37K which is a smoking deal.

2000 Audi RS4 Avant, 1 of 4 in the USA

I preface this entry by stating that my favorite estate vehicle of all time is the Audi RS2. This high performance version of the Audi 90 estate was built in the same factory as the legendary Mercedes-Benz W124 500E/E500 and had some tasty Porsche styling bits to compliment it’s 2.2 liter, 20 valve 5 cylinder turbo engine. As a follow up, Audi introduced the A4 based RS4 in 1999, but never imported this vehicle to the US. Or did they…..?

The seller states:

I’m posting this for a very good client of mine. He had 3 of these brought into the United States in 2001 and they are all legit for the USA. It was hemogenized and has a full 17 digit VIN Number. I’ve personally sat in this car and driven it and it is unbelievable. He bought 3, sold off one back in 2001 and currently has two of them (his and hers). This vehicle has not been beaten on any whatsoever (couple are in their early 70’s) just true Audi enthusiasts. Vehicle holds a clean Colorado title and is located in Aspen, CO. Seriously enquires only please.

As much as I like this RS4, the $49,000 asking price is too high in my opinion, even if a value on such a rare car is hard to place. At this price point, I simply couldn’t drive this car in good conscience on a regular basis. If it were about $15,000 cheaper, this would be a seriously tempting piece. One thing is certain though, the cool factor for this car is off the charts and you’ll never see yourself coming and going on the street, unless RS4 clones suddenly become all the rage.
