1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

Wednesday I featured a pretty nice 911SC and now we’ll take a step forward to its successor the 3.2 Carrera. And I’ll say from the start that I already like this Carrera better than that SC. What a difference a day makes. Given that this is an early Carrera there aren’t many significant differences between this and the 911SC. The engine, obviously, is the most significant change, but aesthetically the differences are minor and this still sports the 915 5-speed transmission that served the 911 so well for so long. I like this color a little better than Guards Red, I like the interior contrast better, and overall it just strikes me as being in better condition. I’m not sure I can pinpoint why, it’s really just the overall sense of everything we see. So here we have a Garnet Red Metallic 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, located in Michigan, with Champagne leather interior and 57,000 miles on it.

GORGEOUS 1985 911 Carrera.

Two year color – Garnet Red Metallic. Champagne Leather Interior with Brown Trim.

Dual Power Seats, Auto Heat, Tail, Sunroof. Low miles at 57,000. About 1200 miles on tires
– Bridgestone Potenza (RE-11). The Fuch Wheels are bright finish and they are 7″ in the Front
and 8″ in the Rear which creates a very nice and unusual stance. Fall 2015 all fluids changed, new
plugs, new battery, new headlight switch, new fog light switch. The paint is in very good condition
with some of the usual stone chips and small scratches. Porsche Bra included. Not the original
radio; added at some point in the past.

History traces this beauty back to California then to Michigan. Have the COA and Carfax. Rack inspection shows no sign of abuse or accident.

This classic is garage kept and stored during the winter months.

Turn this 911 into your 401-k as the values for these air cooled works of art continue to
appreciate !!!

Just won (July 3, 2016) an Award for TOP 5 in 1981-present Class at the Old Town Classic Car
show in Traverse CIty, MI.

I feel like I don’t get to say this often when speaking of a 911, but I think this price is pretty reasonable. I’d probably want it to come down a little bit, but it certainly makes for a workable starting point. The mileage is low, the condition looks good, and other than the radio it looks to be in original condition. Garnet Red is fairly uncommon though I’m not sure these burgundy cars tend to attract as much notice. The Champagne and Brown interior looks very good and works well with the exterior. Overall I think there is a good deal to like here and it should make its new owner very happy.
