1985 Porsche 930

There is something mighty sinister about an all-black 911 Turbo under any guise, but especially a black 930. It was already a very aggressive car from the start and with the darkness smoothing out those curves to go along with the black Fuchs and massive tail a black 930 takes on the appearance of something quite menacing. I guess it’s what Darth Vader would drive. That the engine provides for a similar level of menace simply completes the package. The car featured here is a Euro 1985 Porsche 930, located in Florida, with only 37,000 miles on the clock. That this is an imported European 930 doesn’t really mean much in terms of performance, but since the 930 wasn’t available in the US market in 1985 then importation would be the only way to get one to these shores.

Euro Imported 1985 Porsche 930 (No Turbo’s were brought to the USA dealers during 1980-1985) to Florida and been here its entire life, This car is #315 that year.

I purchased this car as an investment and to drive, I am a retired business man, NOT a dealer. I own 4 Porsches and drive them all.

Some painted areas have been re-sprayed by the second owner, others original. No accidents in this cars history. Paint is nearly perfect couple of minor imperfections, 1door ding in front fender, overall incredible for its age (29 yrs)

Mechanically excellent, needs nothing. Drive it daily or keep in your collection to make money as Pelican Parts thread states: “80’s 930 turbo’s are already climbing and will be the next big runner” making this model an excellent investment choice AND useable fun too!

You can’t/won’t go wrong with this car.
Buy it and DRIVE it home, ANYWHERE, its that good!

prices for this year/mileage currently: $70k-$100k+

The interior looks in remarkably good shape for a 30-year-old car and serves to validate the mileage to a certain degree. We’d expect a Porsche with fewer than 40K miles to present well and this one doesn’t disappoint. There are certainly a lot of details to be worked out with regard to the car’s Euro-status simply to verify its history and get a sense of how it’s been used. With that said, given the mileage the asking price isn’t unreasonable on the current market, if a bit on the high end, so I imagine this Turbo will eventually find itself in a good home with a very happy new owner.

This is a car that commands respect with just its appearance alone.

Always my favorite Porsche. All black, air cooled 911, with the factory installed ‘whale tail’

With the very correct (for Europe) and very good looking H4 headlamps. Every 911 should be wearing these.

On a want scale of 1 to 10, these are a “9.30” for me. When I bought my $20K 83SC 6 years ago, I told myself that I couldn’t afford the extra $15K for the Turbo… I wish I just bucked up and did it back then, I have NO chance now. Vic – the Euro H4 Lamps are right on 78 and later cars, but the early narrow body cars usually look better with the sugar scoops – especially chrome ones on the crazy wild colors (google : 1974 salmon metallic porsche 911). You’ll come around ; )
