As enthusiasts we have a variety of reasons for finding joy in automobiles. Whether it’s outright performance or just the pleasure of a relaxed drive in a vintage machine we are drawn to the engineering, the style, and the pleasure of the total experience that comes with ownership. Among this wide variety I think there is one aspect that almost every enthusiast enjoys seeing in another car: one that has been both well cared for and also driven and enjoyed. These are the cars that have actually been used for the purpose they were built. The one we see here, a Granite Green Metallic over Grey Green 1987 Porsche 930 Coupe located in Maryland, seems to fit that bill well. Given its age we can’t really say it’s high mileage at 114K miles, but that’s still a good number of miles on a 930. Most importantly, even with those miles the condition looks excellent. The seller notes a couple of minor electrical issues, but otherwise this 930 appears to be ready for a new owner to step right in and enjoy.

Granite Green is one of the colors I know a lot of us enjoy and while the interior perhaps makes the total package a little monotone it still looks very good and is at least an interesting variation among the more standard selections. The seller makes no mention of documentation or maintenance history so a little research may be in order, though it looks like some receipts are available and the seller seems reasonably knowledgeable so perhaps we’ll be able to get a full enough picture. If we can verify the condition, then the price isn’t too bad. With the mileage and a couple aftermarket items $87.5K is probably a little high, but with a 930 the care it’s been shown is quite important so buyers may be willing to pay a little extra for an example in better condition, regardless of the miles.

Back when black wheels were not only OEM but truly exclusive (now they are ubiquitous, whether they are do-it-yourself spray paint, or tirerack clearance, or, worst, OEM). The paint sure is in nice condition. I agree about the monotony but I guess if you’re gonna be a bear, be a grizzly, as my dad says.
