For a good long while, the 964 series Porsche 911 went a bit unnoticed by collectors, sandwiched between the iconic 3.2 Carrera and the last of the air-cooled 911s, the 993. Whether it’s nostalgia for the good old days or the fact that these are a bit of a bridge between classic and modern 911s, the 964 is finally getting its due and prices have started to uptick. One of the most sought after 964s, like any 911 generation, is the Turbo. This unmolested 1992 Turbo comes with a full service history and authenticity certificate by Porsche.

While the 3.2 Carrera is my favorite of all 911s, the 964 has always been attractive to me because it blends modern and classic elements seamlessly, from the integrated bumpers to the Cup wheels of the Turbo model. Given that these are the last rear-wheel drive Turbo 911s, they are prized to an extent. The price of this example is about right considering it’s tidy condition and low miles. The later 3.8 Turbos are more powerful and rare, but they carry heftier pricetags which drive them towards 993 territory. Considering how pricey classic Porsches are becoming, the 964 Turbo could almost be viewed as a bargain.
