1990 Audi Coupe Quattro

About a week ago I posted a rare condition and color 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro that was priced towards the higher end of the market for Coupe Quattros. However, considering the overall condition, lower miles and unique color, it wasn’t outrageously priced and seemed like a solid purchase. Today there’s a 1990 Coupe Quattro that’s a more familiar shade for these Audi Coupes and in even better condition with less miles. Take a look at this Tornado Red 1990:

1985 BMW 535i

$_57 (3)

As I picked up the M5 from the shop today (finally), they were still working on a woman’s beat E12, into which she was dumping $5k so that her daughter could inherit it as a daily driver. Despite admittedly being the pot calling Mrs. Kettle black, it seemed silly to drop that kind of coin on a car that seemed unspecial to me. Today’s E28 adds an interesting juxtaposition to her and my situations; advertised as “lady owned,” this 535i is rough on the top, but the sides through the interior are commensurate with the nice 115k mileage.

Yes, it’s an automatic. Yes, the up-facing surfaces look like the skin of someone who has been retired and at the beach since 1985… but it’s not too far from being a 30 year-old sugar momma in a beach house.

1995 Audi S6 Avant

About a month ago Paul wrote up an Emerald 1995 S6 Avant with reasonable mileage at a reasonable price. Unfortunately for fans of non-dated colors, it seems that most of the S6 Avants came in this shade, and unless it was really well cared for it never makes the car stand out. Today, however, there is a bit of a shining star – this particular S6 is offered in Casablanca White, a very rare option to see. Not much is shown of the interior but the exterior sure looks clean:

Mk.2 Volkswagen GTi Roundup

Hang on for the ride, folks. I have not one, not two, but six Mk.2 GTis to cover here. Like all good Mk.2 GTis, none of these cars is stock, so you’re going to have to pick you poison. From engine mods to suspension, interior and exterior mods, we’ve got it all here – but don’t judge a book, because I don’t think they’re all bad. Let’s start with the one I think it the strongest example – a neat grey example with a VR6 swap:

The Personal S-Class Mercedes-Benz: 1991 560SEC vs. 1996 S600 Coupe

Mercedes coupes have always been an object of desire for me. Sure, they lack a little of the carefree fun factor of their open roofed counterparts, but a lot of the classics coupes have blended the conservative style of the sedans with a bit of verve you would expect with a personal luxury vehicle. A two-door vehicle of this size may seem indulgent, but for me, they are oh so right. One of our favorites here at GCFSB is the C126, more commonly known as the 380SEC and later 560SEC on these shores. For a decade, this car carried the large coupe torch for Mercedes-Benz fairly unchanged and was one of those cars of the 1980s people would instantly associate with the wealthy.

First, let’s take a look at this low mileage 560SEC for sale in New York.
