2002 Porsche 911 Turbo

Continuing on my run of interesting 996 Porsche 911 Turbo cars, I came across a very nice example up for sale in New York finished in Carrara White. Not only is it in a desirable color in my eyes, but of course it has a bunch of extra goodies like the aero kit, sport seats, matching center console and gauges, and the always desirable X50 powerkit. However, there is one big problem for some. The same problem as the Miami Blue 997 I looked out last week.

2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S

When it rains, it pours, I suppose. A few weeks ago I took a look at a 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S that featured a paint-to-sample exterior and a Porsche Exclusive interior. Those words sound fine as your read them, but when you actually see the color combo that was picked, it might be a different story. Surprisingly, a fair amount of people actually like it and more power to them, it was different, I give you that. As luck would have it, another 996 Turbo S with a Paint-to-Sample color and a CXX interior popped up for sale, this time in Germany. As you can see, this one is a little more on the conservative side, but even more brilliant in my eyes.

2003 Porsche 911 Turbo

Santa is here and he drives 2003 Porsche 911 Turbo painted in Guards Red. Okay, maybe not. But if he did, I think he’d go classy with a Savannah Beige full leather interior with dark burl wood accents, and of course, the navigation system as well. Wouldn’t you know it, that is what we have today. This 996 Turbo up for sale in Maryland is finished is said spec and the best part, just has 11,000 miles on it. Basically a brand new car and certainly looks the part. Naturally this won’t come cheap, but I’m really surprised at what the ask is on this one.

2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S

As fun and as much as I love paint to sample and exclusive options on Porsche 911s, there of course is the potential for those to go very wrong. A few months ago Carter looked at a 2003 911 Turbo that was fine on the outside with a Speed Yellow exterior, but you opened the door to a Nephrite Green full leather interior. I like Speed Yellow and I think Nephrite Green would be awesome compared to the standard black or grey leather, but I don’t think its awesome to combine the two. That leads me to today’s car that I happen to find on a whim, a 2005 911 Turbo S up for sale in Belgium.

This car is finished on the outside in paint to sample Linen, which is a gold and beige kind of color. Different, but not offensive. Inside, you have a Boxster Red leather interior with a healthy dose of aluminum-look trim everywhere. Why this color combo? I have no idea. Although I’m almost positive it had something to do with the car being delivered new to a customer in Muscat, Oman.

2001 Porsche 911 Turbo

The last time I looked at a Porsche 911, I proclaimed that in the right application, a nice amount of wood isn’t a bad thing at all. It turns an already good car in something a little different, and clearly I’m not the only one who feels that way as that car seems to have already sold. However, Porsche didn’t always get it right when it came to putting wood inside the 911. Case in point, today’s car. This 2001 911 Turbo up for sale in Illinois is finished in Black over Natural Brown leather with the light wood interior package. Sounds great, right? Not exactly. You’ll understand what I mean when you look inside this car.
