Earlier this week I mentioned that as the air-cooled 911 market has settled I’ve started to come across a lot more classic 911s that appear to be in good condition and also might be had for reasonable prices. For a while it seemed like that was impossible. But here we have another: a Black Metallic 1982 Porsche 911SC Coupe, located in New Jersey, with Tan interior and 85,756 miles on it. The condition isn’t perfect by any means, but as a driver-quality example it looks good and the Black Metallic paint provides a nice change of pace from the usual non-metallic Black with which we’re far more accustom.

Black Metallic with Tan Leather InteriorThis Porsche presents itself beautifully in its exquisite color combination of Black Metallic paint with Tan Leather interior with color matching Fuchs wheels.
The exterior of this Porsche is in excellent condition with some minor rock chips that can only be found with close inspection.
The interior is in great condition. The leather is soft with no tears, the carpets are clean, everything has been tested to find that it is in good working order.
We have found this to be car to be a good, solid example with its quick acceleration, solid shifting through all of the gears, and tight handling.CarFax certified with no accidents. The full report is available by clicking the “Details” tab of this car on our site.

In full disclosure, I originally had planned to feature a 911SC Targa with this post. It was a little older, pretty similar with regard to mileage and condition (though I thought slightly better condition) and a little lower price. Mostly I found it more attractive, probably because I really like Targas. But it sold before we could get to it. I mention this primarily because I thought the price of that Targa was quite reasonable and I think the same applies here. The interior of this SC shows wear in a few spots. Nothing as egregious as tears in the seats or a cracked dash, but the driver’s door is worn a bit and we see minor scuffs here and there. All told the condition still seems good and the exterior looks in very nice shape. Black Metallic is much more rare to see than Black on these classic 911s and it always works well with a Tan interior. This is a lighter tan than I usually prefer, but a nice contrast to that dark exterior. If the mechanical condition comes through in good shape, then this should make for another good opportunity to get into a classic 911.
