In purely aesthetic terms, the 993 C2S is a fantastically pretty car. Where it might lack a little bit of aggressiveness relative to some of its classic brethren, it more than makes up for that with graceful lines and delicate curves. As the ultimate expression (at least stylistically) of the air-cooled 911 the 993 C2S will forever remain a Porsche favorite. With nearly 300 hp being delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission, the Carrera S offers ample performance and provides its drivers with miles of engaged and exhilarating motoring. The car we have featured here is a Wimbledon Green Metallic 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S with Cashmere leather interior, located in New York.

There is a lot to like about this car, from the rare and interesting color combination to the lovely contours of the aero package on the wider rear of the Carrera S’s fenders. I’ve always been a fan of the whale-tail and tea-tray spoilers found on the 911s of the ’80s and on the 993 I still find the tail to provide excellent shape and balance to the overall contours of the car. It isn’t for everyone, but personally I love it! This 993 presents very well and if it has all of the documentation to go with its looks, then it should make for an excellent investment. With that said, while the last of the air-cooled 911s will always be held in high regard, it seems this seller is a bit ahead of the current market.

The seller needs to avoid LSD and mushrooms for a while; for that price, you could get a 993 Turbo, which would be, umm, A TURBO.
Yeah this price is nuts. I realize all air cooled 911s have gained significant value in the last year or so, but this is ridiculous. 2 years ago this was MAYBE a $55k car. I like the rare color and sport seats, but am not a fan of the aero kit on a non-turbo. I view it as false advertising.
