Having your cake and eating it too. Few cars in the automotive spectrum come closer to this than a 3 series Touring with a manual gearbox. While you can buy a brand new 3 series Touring in the United States with either a diesel or petrol engine, you can no longer specify the three pedal option. So, barring a change in BMW sales policy towards US customers, this 2011 328i Touring with a 6-speed manual represents the end of the road for manual transmission estate cars on these shores. While rare and sought after by a specific group of enthusiasts, the asking price seen here for a four year old BMW 3 series nearing 50,000 miles is a bit steep. A close friend of mine in the Boston area purchased an identical 328i Touring from a private party with mileage in the 60k range for close to the $20,000 mark. So for the smart shopper, a bit of negotiating would have to take place with this particular car.

I had both a manual trans A4 Avant S-Line and a 328 M-Sport Touring. Awesome cars both. I stopped buying wagons when they stopped offering manual transmissions. Dumb move BMW and Audi…

The seller’s statement of “full warranty” is misleading, as the new car warranty was 4 yrs/50k miles and the car is only 350 miles away from being out of warranty.
I just don’t get the price on this car they sell for 25 to 27K asking price in NY……..
my DD is a 2011 328 x-drive sedan same color combo and same “Value Package” as it was called by BMW in that MY. the ask here is absolutely NUTS!….I suppose that the dealer is thinking/hoping that the buyer is an enthusiast who will pay a premium for what was a no cost option…LOL
