1996 Porsche 911 Carrera

For my 2nd 993 of the week I’ve chosen this 1996 Carrera, which stood out to me for one very obvious reason: it’s Speed Yellow. This might be the only standard Carrera I have ever seen in Speed Yellow. I’ve come across a few other variants in this color (Turbos, the GT2, Cabriolets), but not a bog-standard 993. It’s a flashy color so it shouldn’t be surprising that it might not be hugely popular amongst buyers choosing the Carrera. Regardless, I love a Yellow on Black car (cue Wiz Khalifa) and with the base Carrera toning down the flash just a bit, this makes for a fantastic combination.

The rest of this car comes across just as well as the color. The mileage is very reasonable, the interior and exterior appear in very good condition, and the seller claims a fully documented service history. The asking price certainly isn’t low, but for a well maintained 993 in a rare color, it isn’t especially high either. For someone who might be a fan of this color, but would prefer something either a little less flashy or a bit less expensive than what a 993 Turbo might set you back, this car should present an excellent opportunity.
