Do not adjust your screen. That really is the factory color. What you are looking at is a 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo finished in Meridian Metallic, which Porsche calls a platinum metallic, but you can make your own call on it. Personally I think it almost looks pink or rose gold, but whatever you want to call it, it is a rare shade. Even better, this example has just under 21,000 miles. What’s the catch then? You know where I am going with this.

This 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe is finished in Meridian Metallic over black full leather. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six that drives all four wheels through a five-speed Tiptronic automatic transaxle, and equipment includes power-adjustable heated front seats, carbon-fiber interior trim, automatic climate control, navigation, and a CD stereo with Digital Sound Processing. The car now has just over 20k miles, and service under included replacement of the mass-airflow sensor and the alternator. This 996TT is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean OHIO title in the owner’s name.
The 996 Turbo featured wider rear fenders with air intakes, as well as unique front and rear valances when compared with the contemporary Carrera. This example is finished in Meridian Metallic (L6A6) and features a front bumperette delete, a rear window wiper, and a hydraulically actuated rear spoiler.
Factory 18†Turbo Twist wheels with Turbo-script center caps are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. Braking is handled by red four-piston calipers with 13.0″ cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
The cabin is upholstered in black full leather with a matching dash, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include power-adjustable heated front seats as well as carbon-fiber trim, Nokia digital audio, navigation, and a factory CD changer.
The twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six produced 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is routed to all four wheels via a five-speed Tiptronic automatic transaxle and a viscous center coupling. Maintenance performed included replacements of the mass-airflow sensor and the alternator in 2018.

Yep, Tiptronic transmission. A major bucket of cold water on this one. I had my fingers crossed that this wasn’t the same car I saw before, but I looked at the description and it was very clear.
This one sold back in 2016 for $47,000. Today, an asking price of $53,000. I know the market is only getting stronger on nice 996 Turbos, but this is still a Tiptronic car. If this was a 6-speed, in this color, with those low miles, then sure. $53,000 would be a home run. However, I really think the automatic holds these back big time. It’s not like the PDK boxes that you can justify by buying it, these transmissions are soft and slushy. It is going to take a very special buyer to justify this price with this color, but that person is probably out there. Probably not me.

yes, this is a very nice car, but the Tip will hold it back. No comparison vs a PDK.
That is an interesting color. And I agree on it looking slightly pink.
“Which Porsche calls Platinum Metallic”: In person this color is very similar to the Pewter Metallic that Chevy used on Silverado pickups in the early ’00s. Equal parts Gold and Silver. Same era.
An interesting comp:
