2002 Porsche 911 Turbo

ti

I suppose you find what you look for, but it seems like I’ve been finding a whole slew of interesting 996 Porsche 911 Turbos of late. Case in point, this 2002 up for sale outside of Boston is finished in the not-so common Orient Red Metallic paint. Inside, it’s equally not as common with Natural Brown leather and the Light Wood trim package. Yes, it is a 6-speed manual gearbox car thankfully, and the best part? Just 9,800 miles. Now we are talking.

Here we have an extremely well cared for 2 owner 996 turbo. Orient red with tan leather and cherry wood trim. Very low 9863 original miles. All the manuals are present as is the jack, tool kit and wheel lock key. I have both remote ignition keys as well as the emergency key.

Truth be told, I really didn’t even realize this car had a hair under 10,000 miles on it until I looked at the little mileage box. Maybe I was just distracted by the background or the fact that these photos are a little sub-par, but now that I dug into it I can maybe buy that. The option list definitely leans way more towards the luxury side with the Natural Brown leather and Light Wood package. It does look like a piece of the trim is peeling off under the navigation unit, but that seems to be it for any kind of wear. At least what I can see.

Given the miles, this should be a $60,000 or more car easily. Any 6-speed 996 Turbo under 10,000 is bringing the premium, but I am curious to see where it lands given there is zero info about it. I would say if they does sell anywhere south of that $60,000, it is a screaming deal. However, I have a feeling this has a high reserve and isn’t going to reach it because the seller put in minimal effort. Wouldn’t be the first time, and surely won’t be the last.

Thanks for the link fstntq! That is a good deal as it sits. Probably even better news it was listed by a Porsche shop.

Orient red in my opinion is one of the best colours on the 996 Turbo. Sucks that its quite hard to find. It’s the same for Cobalt Blue on 997 Turbos.

To be clear, the business is a mechanical shop, not a sales shop per se. I know he lists cars for clients (consignments?) as I recently bought one. That said there are a number of cars shown in that residential driveway which I would not be surprised to learn belongs to the shop owner.
