2018 Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive

It shouldn’t take you long to recognize that this is a fairly limited production 911. It’s right there in its name, “Exclusive,” though you also could just look at the darn thing. A Golden Yellow Metallic Porsche isn’t exactly commonplace. Add in the Black center-locking wheels with Golden Yellow accents, loads of carbon trim, and Turbo Aerokit and you know you’re looking at something special. This is all before we even open the doors and step into the interior.

And, oh yeah, it has 607 horsepower. That’s 27 hp more than the already pretty high-powered 911 Turbo S.

I came across this 2018 Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive and figured I’d add it to our list of very high-priced and limited production 911s I’ve posted lately. If you want one only 500 will be produced. I don’t know how many currently are on the ground, but I have only seen one other for sale. It was not Gold. While I expect we’ll see a few more of these pop up just as we have with the various GT 911s I don’t know if we’ll see quite as many. Markup, of course, is substantial, though not GT2 RS high.

There is a certain absurdity to the Turbo S Exclusive Series. The Turbo S itself is kind of absurd, but in a very understandable sense. Cranking all of that up and adding tons of accents just stretches what’s reasonable. But frankly I don’t think Porsche will have any trouble selling each one of them, even with markups, and it is for that reason that we will keep seeing such limited-production 911s being produced. They won’t go away until buyers decide they aren’t a worthwhile investment. And investments is exactly what I think all of these are.

Like other “Exclusive” productions the Turbo S Exclusive Series serves as somewhat of a design exercise for Porsche’s Exclusive department. These give you a sense of the various things you could do should you so desire. I happen to like the Golden Yellow exterior – Porsche intends it to remind us of one of my all-time favorite 911s: the Speed Yellow 964 Turbo S Lightweight. However, I imagine there will be plenty of buyers for whom Golden Yellow is a turnoff. Porsche probably suspected similarly since these also are available in a few other colors: Agate Grey Metallic and Carrera White Metallic being standard and Graphite Blue Metallic, Black, or Guards Red costing a bit extra. Of course, matching luggage also is available.

Make mine Graphite Blue please.

  1. How is there a “huge discount to a new one” when the current price sits at $300K and reserve not met on a $270K MSRP car ? 🙂

  2. @ArunR – MSRP then add dealer mark up of probably $70K

  3. Perfect to park right outside the Super Dome…
