2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS

Ever dream about walking into a dealer, picking out the most expensive model, then clicking every box on the option list? Even more, add in a bunch of other special requests and options that aren’t even offered and tell them to build you that. Well, that is exactly what the original owner of this 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS did. On top of the $293,200 base price, this owner added another $149,340 in options for a total price of $442,540. Yes, that is correct. $149,340 in options, $92,250 of which were the coveted CXX “Special Wishes” that needed to be approved by Porsche. Of course, it is finished in paint-to-sample Brewster Green and the interior? Have you ever heard of Noto Green leather?

No kidding, the build process was so crazy on this car that Porsche actually photographed it, made it into a book, and gave it to the owner as gift when taking delivery of the car. I guess that is what you get when spending nearly $450,000 on a GT2 RS. The interior is just a celebration of Noto Green leather and carbon fiber, and of course houndstooth inserts were optioned. The even crazier thing is, the original owner just put 1,200 miles on it before selling it. That’s it. Spend nearly a half a million on a car then sell it after 1,200 miles. I’m sure the process of ordering this car was long given how much stuffed needed to be approved.

This car was for sale back in January from the original owner in Beverly Hills for $485,000 and now made its way to this dealer in Texas with an asking of $439,900. I don’t even know how you value this given the ginormous sticker price and a color combo that might be hard to sell. Personally, I think the green is awesome, but I’d need to be a dozen cars deep before dropping this kind of money on it. I’m glad it’s possible to still make something like this, and more power to this dealer trying to unload it. Maybe one day.

well it is a worthless automatic transmission model so pasadena on it…

It really is a shame they force you into the PDK on these. Sure, the PDK is faster on track, but it’s not as much fun. And a car like this is about having fun, or am I missing something?

I wasn’t all that sold on the color at first, but it really is spectacular. It’s mice it’s not metallic. The houndstooth is the icing on the cake.

PDK is a lot of fun..I love the way it works on my C2S and I also have an aircooled car with a 5sp.

Awesome car, I would love to have this in my posession. Unfortunately it’s way out of my league, but that green leather is the best.

I know Michael is being facetious, but to me a PDK is a different animal than the tiptronic. PDK shifts are very satisfying and immediate, no hesitation like the tip.

This is the sort of thing I would do if I won the lottery. But I sure as hell would keep it forever, I do not understand going through the long process of this level of customization and just selling it. Weird. I would be very proud of my one-of-one.

I love it. Brewster Green was a Trans Am color from the early 70’s!

PDK, the long option list and the green interior with the houndstooth interior make this car perfect.
A manual transmission would make it very undesirable for me. Moot point, I couldn’t afford it anyway, so kudos to the orig. owner who ordered it that way.

I am a die-hard manual fan. Driven one on track. PDK is it for these no question.

@Andrew, I was thinking you were wrong to call the interior leather color “Noto” green. However one of my most respected resources has identified that he error is mine actually. So I must tip my hat to your accuracy, and further I would encourage you to point out the sellers incorrect listing in the most gentle of ways. Well done! Thanks for the great post.
