2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG

The Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG not only holds the crown for the most amount of three letter-monikers in the model name, but also that of the craziest bodywork that you can’t believe is factory. I don’t want to re-cap everything, but if you want to re-read my post about this model from way back in 2016, feel free. As mentioned, these are extremely rare and qualify to be imported to the United States under a “show or display” exemption at a heavy cost, but it is doable. As the price of this one up for sale in The Netherlands proves, you can probably swing it for you are able to write a check this size.

1993 Mercedes-Benz 600SEL 7.0 AMG

There is certainly something about the early pre-merger Mercedes-Benz AMG cars, even if they were converted after the final assembly and they left the factory. Today’s car, a very rare 1993 600SEL, was done by AMG Japan with an increase in displacement to 7.0 liters, some special bodywork, 18″ O.Z. wheels, and the signature wood trim as many places they could find. Even better, this car was optioned with the individual reclining rear seats that of course are heated too. How much? Well, they aren’t getting any cheaper.

2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA35 AMG

I am admittedly not a huge fan of the Mercedes-Benz CLA/GLA Class. They certainly were built to be entry-level cars and because of this, were a huge hit. Mercedes-Benz USA boss Steve Cannon stated “This is our best launch in 20 years,” when talking about the CLA because people love cheap stuff. It is no mistake you will see these most often during your daily travels, despite their lackluster offerings. However, they sell and Mercedes-AMG even took a handful of them to produce the CLA35 and CLA45. Today’s car, the CLA35, packs the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that thankfully sends power to all four wheels and not just the front like the rest of the model range. However, that interior still kills me. Let me show you what I mean.

2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Coupe Edition 1

Back at it again with a special edition that came out of nowhere, for what reason we aren’t sure. This is the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG coupe Edition 1. What is the Edition 1? Just a random name that Mercedes decided to stick on their S63 AMG coupe. Even though 2015 was the first year for the model, there were just regular 2015 S63 AMG coupes that weren’t branded the Edition 1. So what was different? Well, on the outside you got designo Magno Alanite Grey Matte finish and Swarovski crystals in the LED headlights. Inside you’ll find Aubergine red leather, carbon-fiber trim, a DINAMICA-finished headliner, and a little badge on the steering wheel. That’s it. Hope you weren’t holding out for any more power.

1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3

Back in “the day” if you knew about what AMG was and the cool things they produced, you could have a little taste. If you purchased a Mercedes-Benz product and took your new car to AMG West in Beverly Hills, California or AMG of Missouri, you had your choice of the catalogue. Truth be told, most of the products were bolt-ons, although there were some power upgrades in terms camshafts and exhaust systems. Today’s car, a 1986 190E 2.3 up for sale in California, is one of those bolt-on cars.
