The Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG not only holds the crown for the most amount of three letter-monikers in the model name, but also that of the craziest bodywork that you can’t believe is factory. I don’t want to re-cap everything, but if you want to re-read my post about this model from way back in 2016, feel free. As mentioned, these are extremely rare and qualify to be imported to the United States under a “show or display†exemption at a heavy cost, but it is doable. As the price of this one up for sale in The Netherlands proves, you can probably swing it for you are able to write a check this size.

Back at it again with a special edition that came out of nowhere, for what reason we aren’t sure. This is the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG coupe Edition 1. What is the Edition 1? Just a random name that Mercedes decided to stick on their S63 AMG coupe. Even though 2015 was the first year for the model, there were just regular 2015 S63 AMG coupes that weren’t branded the Edition 1. So what was different? Well, on the outside you got designo Magno Alanite Grey Matte finish and Swarovski crystals in the LED headlights. Inside you’ll find Aubergine red leather, carbon-fiber trim, a DINAMICA-finished headliner, and a little badge on the steering wheel. That’s it. Hope you weren’t holding out for any more power.

1 CommentBack in “the day” if you knew about what AMG was and the cool things they produced, you could have a little taste. If you purchased a Mercedes-Benz product and took your new car to AMG West in Beverly Hills, California or AMG of Missouri, you had your choice of the catalogue. Truth be told, most of the products were bolt-ons, although there were some power upgrades in terms camshafts and exhaust systems. Today’s car, a 1986 190E 2.3 up for sale in California, is one of those bolt-on cars.
