2001 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

Back again with a car that I’m unsure how even rolled off the assembly line solely based on the odd color combination. This 2011 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is finished in the smooth Orient Red Metallic over .. Metropol Blue leather? Yes, this is a dark red over dark blue car and I suppose it isn’t too crazy, but why just not go with black? Something different I suppose. The good news is that it isn’t all that expensive.

2003 Porsche 911 GT2

It is hard to believe that some cars that were already six figures have doubled in value over the past five years. Especially considering the hype around them isn’t all that much and the values of risen without much notice. Of course, I am talking about the 996 generation of the Porsche 911 GT2. Just five years ago we looked at a 2002 for 3,200 miles on the odometer for an asking price of $169,000. That car finally ended up selling for $154,000 and at the time, seemed like a big price for a 996 GT2. Oh, how naïve we were. Today, we have another 996 GT2 up for sale in Pennsylvania with just 3,900 miles. The price? I told you to double it.

2001 Porsche 911 Turbo

If you are going to go Dragonfly Turquoise Metallic, you might as well go all in. I’m sure that isn’t exactly what the old saying is, but in this situation, I’ll buy it. What we are looking at here today is a 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo in the paint-to-sample share of Libelltürkis Metallic. You might remember this exact color from the 1996 911 Carrera 4S I looked at earlier this summer. It looks like Porsche kept that color on top and had enough of it to also paint the legendary Turbo Twist wheels in that color as well. On the inside? Well, surely you weren’t expecting something tame.

2003 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe

While prices of the 996 generation have surely risen over the past two years, there are some good deals still out there if you want to make some compromises. Mainly those compromises would equate to accepting higher mileage, but if everything has been taken care of, it really is just a number. Today’s car, a 2003 911 Carrera coupe up for sale in beautiful Pompano Beach, Florida, surely has an attractive price but there are some thing you’ll have to accept if you take it home.

2004 Porsche 911 GT3

I don’t want to say I told you so, but literally three years ago I told everyone to buy 996 Porsche 911 GT3s and they’ll thank me. Now, almost every 996 GT3 is pushing six-figures and the really low mile ones sell as much as the 991 GT3. I don’t think they are going to keep climbing like crazy forever given it is a really tough ride and not a great street car, but it seems just saying you own a GT car now is enough and everything else comes second. Today’s example, a 2004 up for sale in Arizona, is not for anyone looking for a deal on this and is probably priced way at the top of the market.
