2018 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

The winter months are here for some of us, but that won’t stop the seemingly never-ending offerings of Porsche 911s in wild colors. This 2018 Carrera 4S is finished in the slightly lighter hue of Riviera Blue with the matching brake calipers for extra points. Unlike Miami Blue that is an optional color on the 991 generation, Riviera is only reserved for the paint-to-sample program, so that means tack another $7,000 or so to the sticker. Of course, why stop there when it comes to the options, so a $112,000 base price for a Carrera 4S is now $156,970 when it is all said and done with the options. Now just 6,800 miles later, it is up for sale.

This C4S is epic in concept and execution. Its Riviera Blue paintwork includes painted side skirts, brake calipers and mirror surrounds. Its vintage vibe is enhanced by aluminum trim for the exterior and custom painted strakes for the rear air intakes, along with 50th Anniversary Fuchs alloys. Inside its extended leather two-tone interior in Bordeaux red and black (including door panels and seat backs), also sports aluminum trim. Options are extensive and include the Premium Plus package, Dynamic LED headlights, PDCC, four wheel steering, Power Steering Plus, Sport Chrono, Lane Change Assist, glass moonroof, a GT Sport steering wheel with surround column to match the interior, Burmester surround sound, 18-way Adaptive Sports seats, Porsche crests for the headrests, storage compartment lid, illuminated aluminum door sill guards, and heated and cooled seats. Original MSRP was $156,970. Upgrades include full ceramic coating and the entire front and sills are clear wrapped. It is still covered by full factory warranty and has had a full detail. Interesting to note that whoever spec’d this one out went for Bordeaux red leather and a black dashboard as the interior color. I can’t say that I love this color combination because it just seems like too much. Maybe because the Bordeaux leather is a really darker red, almost burgundy, and that doesn’t sit well with the lighter Riviera Blue. I almost wish they would have stuck with a plain black and not tried to do so much. As mentioned, this one is fairly well optioned with rear axle steering, Burmester audio, 18-way seats, Sport Chrono, and on and on.

The ask on this one is $125,000, which for those who don’t want to do the math, is a $32,000 discount off the sticker. Just for measly 6,800 miles. If you are really in love with this color then what a great deal, but if it were my money, I’d probably go GTS.

I like the exterior color and the interior color, just not on the same car! Yikes. Great spec otherwise but at $123k you’ve got to start thinking about a GTS or turbo. I am guessing $110-115k is about where this one will land.

I have built quite a few blue over red cars on the Porsche configurator. I prefer the dash in matching red. This is pretty much a dream car color combo for me, and I can’t imagine if I bought it new I would sell anytime soon…must be nice to be filthy rich.

Hmm not feeling the Superman combo…I recall there was a photograph on rennlist I think of Rivera, Mexico and Miami side by side. They do look different when together but on a stand-alone pic I couldn’t tell the colors apart like this one – I just assumed it was Miami

Great color combo..but as you and others have said, I would go for the GTS or even turbo at that price!…
